| Cartoon 29 (Hackles, Katrina) Microsoft's latest fiasco. "I read the news today, oh boy." The story and the spokesperson's quote are both true- with Microsoft around, the jokes practically write themselves. Some of the things they've been saying about Open Source software and Linux have been so ridiculous, you can't argue with them intelligently. All you can do is laugh... 1. TV: Microsoft acknowledged that a patch released for their Exchange mail server not only failed to fix a security hole, but introduced a catastrophic bug causing many servers to hang. 2. TV: This comes at an embarassing time for the company, which is mounting a campaign to convince the public tha Open Source code, such as Linux, is "unhealthy" and a "disease". 3. TV: A Microsoft spokesperson stated, "This will not happen again. Period." 3. Hackles: Yeah, right! |
